Mentorship
Ages 12 – 17*
This program involves a one year, one-on-one mentorship with one of our wilderness guides. Although each of us have our own specialty per se, most partake in a variety of outdoor recreational experiences. We firmly believe that giving youth increased exposure to a variety of experiences will lead to lifelong interest—and a lifelong conservationalist.
Our activities are designed to keep engagement at an all-time high, therefore there are some requirements provided below.
ACTIVITIES
This is the fun part, you pick! We recommend a variety such as fishing, hiking, camping, and kayaking/canoeing. If interested in one of these activities more than others, we can do repeat excursions.
COMMITMENT
Our mentorship program requires a minimum of 4 (up to 6) outdoor trips and classes for the year. These are scheduled early in the program with weather-permitting exceptions made for safety and enjoyment.
GEAR
All gear and supplies used are free of charge. Most have been donated and/or purchased via the non-profit for this very purpose!
AVAILABILITY
Due to the small size of our company, we have a limited number of mentors and funding to provide these opportunities each year.
